Drew decided to open Freedom Pool Services after working for the largest pool equipment and supply retailer in the country as an equipment installer. He realized the value of a skilled and trained pool equipment expert. The giant corp. did not train appropriately and would let unskilled installers install things like pool heaters that involve gas plumbing and electrical, they would charge top dollar for this unskilled installation, They also paid technicians a very low wage and based any additional pay on commission and labor dollars, this forced technicians to up sell in order to survive in the Bay Areas high cost of living. This is where he met his partner Alen who was a pool equipment wizard and had been with the company 11 years at the time. After a few years and of fixing bad installs for unsatisfied customers and barely making it on the low wages he decided to put in his notice and start Freedom. Knowing the value that Alen brings to the pool industry and the struggle Alen was also having with a family of 5 surviving in the Bay Area he promised Alen he would come back for him as soon as the new company can add the additional payroll. The new company would offer the highest skill set without selling people things they don't need or want. It would also be a place where valued employees one day can make a fair wage and be appreciated for being a team member.

Alen has been a swimming pool equipment  technician for 15 plus years. He is "The Guy"! If Alen can't fix it, it can't be fixed. Alen has a keen ability to solve complex issues and troubleshoot for quick, dependable results. Alen's primary focus is installation, with a specialization in automated pool systems. When othe pool techs cant figure it out, they call us to see if Alen can come out. Alen has been asked for feedback by all the major pool manufactuers when they are designing new systems because of years of experience and mind.

Alex has been in the pool industry since 2004 where he maintained a local school district's pools. By 2008 Alex started installing and repairing equipment.  He started with Freedom in 2016 and between formal technical training and being aside Alen and Drew has now become one of the highest level equipment installers in the industry, he focuses on detail and at this point is Freedoms best plumber. Freedom is contracted to install full equipment sets by custom builders and Alex is the head of this department leading every highly technical equipment pad install we do for custom pool builders.

Nino has been with Freedom since June of 2019 he is a  Certified Pool Operator and responsible for servicing many pools a week, in 2021 Nino was promoted to Field General for his good work ethic and his advancement in chemistry knowledge. He consistently strives to be one of the most knowledgeable pool professionals in the industry. In 2023 was promoted to Weekly service Manager.  He oversees all of our weekly clients

Randy has been with Freedom since June 2022, He is in charge of the main Freedom shop in Santa Clara,CA he orders chemicals weekly, stages equipment for upcoming projects, and maintains all of our inventory. Randy makes sure we are efficient and organized.

Mark has been with Freedom since August 2022 he came to us as a flooring expert looking to change trades. He has finished his weekly pool technician training and currently maintains multiple pools a week

Adriana has been with us since August 2019, she handles the payroll, billing, coordinating and routing.

Rachel has been with Freedom since September 2023, she is also attending San Jose State in order to obtain a degree in Business.

Javier came to Freedom with 3 years experience. He is very goal oriented and always looking to learn more about pool systems. Currently he is training to learn equipment repair and installations.
